Or maybe you just really struggle with the traditional high school model, and you are ready to move on to the next stage in your educational journey.
How to Get Started with Advanced Opportunities
- You'll need to be able to answer these questions: What is the end goal? Why do you want to graduate early? Begin college early, get a jump start on your career, or take a gap year?
- Decide which high school you want to get your diploma from. The state of Idaho mandates minimum credit requirements that all schools must meet. However, schools can require above and beyond that minimum, so we must know you desired graduation school to plan for you to meet, not just the state minimum, but the school minimum.
- Meet with a school counselor or graduation specialist. They’ll tell you what you need to do and help you develop a plan.
If you currently attend a traditional school, your counselor might connect you with ICON or other online public education providers, as well as colleges or universities that offer technical competency credits, dual credit, or advanced placement courses.
